About these fronts
Made-to-measure furniture fronts for IKEA systems: METOD, FAKTUM, PAX, PLATSA and BESTÅ. Every front is built to the millimetre dimensions you provide, on 18 mm MDF, in one of 21 styles: lacquered, natural wood veneer or plywood. Your IKEA carcasses stay in place, you replace only the fronts.
Which IKEA systems do these fronts fit?
METOD and the older FAKTUM kitchens, PAX wardrobes, the PLATSA system and BESTÅ. Each front is made to your measurements, so it also fits non-standard builds and cabinets from outside IKEA. Hinge drillings follow the standard of the given system.
How much does a made-to-measure front cost?
The price is the square metre rate multiplied by the area of the front. The rate depends on the style and starts at 176.81 EUR/m² for the lacquered Gładki front. Area is rounded up to 0.05 m², with a 0.10 m² minimum. Example: a front for a METOD 60x80 cm cabinet measures 596x795 mm in reality, which is 0.4738 m², rounded up to 0.50 m². In oak veneer (345.94 EUR/m²) that is 172.97 EUR, in lacquered Gładki 88.41 EUR. Current rates for every style are shown in the configurator above.
What styles and materials are available?
Lacquered fronts: Gładki, Frezowany uchwyt, Linea, Monako, Wiedeń, Grip, Round, Hampton, Quadro, Shaker, Pasmo, Rytm, Round Oak and Witryna. Natural wood veneer fronts: oak, smoked oak, walnut, Muskato burr and Silver burr. Plywood fronts: birch and pine. Veneers are finished with polyurethane lacquer, so they are cared for exactly like lacquered fronts. Plywood is a separate material, not a veneer.
What colours are available for lacquered fronts?
Over 2500 shades from the RAL, NCS, ICA and Farrow & Ball palettes, in semi-matt or gloss. These are colours unavailable in the standard IKEA range. Single-sided lacquering is standard, double-sided is available for a surcharge of 89.69 EUR/m² calculated in the configurator.
How long does production take?
7 weeks from the payment being credited. Nothing sits in a warehouse, every front is produced for the specific order and its dimensions.
How does shipping work?
Pallet shipping, including across the European Union. The rate depends on whether any front exceeds 120 cm on one edge. Within the EU shipping costs 80 EUR per euro pallet (every front up to 120 cm on each edge) or 140 EUR per oversized pallet (at least one front over 120 cm). Full details are listed in our shipping policy. Fronts are not sent through parcel lockers. Delivery after production: 3 to 7 working days within the EU.
Can a made-to-measure front be returned?
No. Fronts, mirrors and samples produced to individual customer specification are excluded from the right of withdrawal (Art. 16 point c of Directive 2011/83/EU). The 14-day right of withdrawal applies to catalogue products. That is why we send a specification with all dimensions for approval before production, and the colour can be checked in advance on a front sample for 23 EUR. For orders of 250 EUR or more, the sample price is deducted with the code SAMPLE.
How do I provide the dimensions?
In the configurator you choose the IKEA system and the element type, then either a standard size from the list or your own size in millimetres. The front dimension is not the nominal cabinet size: a front for a 60x80 cm cabinet measures 596x795 mm in reality. The configurator suggests the correct values for each system.
