Made-to-measure fronts for IKEA systems

METOD, FAKTUM, PAX, BESTÅ and PLATSA. IKEA discontinued FAKTUM in 2014, but we still make made-to-measure fronts for it, drilled for the original hinges. Each system has its own page with sizes and styles: METOD, FAKTUM, PAX, BESTÅ, PLATSA.

Look inside the cabinet near the edge: METOD has two rows of holes, FAKTUM a single row. A kitchen bought before 2014 is almost certainly FAKTUM. A wardrobe is PAX (frame 35 or 58 cm deep) or PLATSA (modular, frames 40 or 55 cm deep); TV benches and sideboards are BESTÅ. Still not sure? Yes. We CNC-drill the 35 mm hinge holes and drawer fixings to the standard of the given system, so you unscrew the old fronts and fit ours on the same hinges, with no changes to the cabinet. If a front made to the confirmed specification does not fit a standard IKEA cabinet, we put it right at our expense (IKEA fit guarantee).

Lacquered: a solid colour from any palette, semi-matt or gloss, on 18 mm MDF. Veneered: real wood (Oak, Smoked Oak, American Walnut, Muskato Burl, Silver Burl) on MDF, sealed with polyurethane lacquer, so no oiling needed. Birch or pine plywood: visible layers on the edge and a raw, Scandinavian look. Care is the same for all of them: a damp cloth, no abrasives.

From 176.81 EUR/m² incl. VAT for the Flat lacquer. Milled, framed and vitrine styles 215.25-297.25 EUR/m², plywood 243.44 EUR/m², natural veneers 345.94 EUR/m². Example: a 60x80 cm door has 0.476 m², billed as 0.50 m² (we count in 0.05 m² steps, rounding up), which is 88.41 EUR in the Flat lacquer. The configurator calculates the price for any size before you add it to the cart.

Yes, we lacquer in any colour from the RAL, NCS, ICA and Farrow & Ball palettes (over 2,500 shades, included in the price). White IKEA fronts come in two families: cool white NCS S 0300-N (VOXTORP, RINGHULT, KUNGSBACKA) and warm white S 0502-Y (BODBYN, VEDDINGE, HITTARP), both available in the configurator. Light reflection may differ slightly between our lacquer and the factory IKEA finish, so when adding to existing cabinets order a sample first, and if you need a 1:1 match we can match the colour from a front you send us (+12 EUR).

7 weeks from the payment being credited, because every front is made from scratch to your size. We ship on a euro pallet, each front wrapped separately in foil and foam: 80 EUR within the EU (fronts up to 120 cm) or 140 EUR (longer fronts). Fronts over 240 cm are quoted individually for transport.

Yes, a front sample costs 23 EUR with free shipping. On orders over 250 EUR we deduct it with the code SAMPLE. It is the surest way to judge the colour in your own light, because screens can lie.

Yes. Any size up to 280 cm high: an extended PAX, shortened METOD doors, a dishwasher front, side panels, filler panels, plinths and cover panels. Send us the dimensions and we will quote the whole set.

No. The front sits on the face of the cabinet, so the extra 2 mm goes outward, not into the cabinet opening. The face dimensions are identical to IKEA's, so the gaps between fronts and the drawer action stay the same. The thicker board is also stiffer.

Made-to-measure fronts cannot be returned (Article 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU), which is why we encourage a sample and confirm the dimensions before production. A defective front or one not matching the order is repaired, replaced or refunded. On top of that: a 5-year moisture resistance guarantee and the IKEA fit guarantee.
